our story

The concept of Lottura was born in early 2025 when I began to see a need within my own life to step farther away from technology. With a deep desire to fill my own mind with beautiful and genuinely thought-provoking words, I began to ponder and search for where I could find this unspoken need that was missing in my life. I distinctly remember one night when I woke from a dream to have the thought cross my mind, “I need to make a newspaper,” and then directly fell back asleep. That thought stuck with me, and I decided that if what I was looking for didn’t exist, I would take the step forward to create it myself.

After bringing together a group of dear friends, hundreds of hours worth of conversation, and building the confidence to “go for it,” Lottura was born. The name Lottura was inspired by my daughter, Lottie, that through this simple newspaper, I could continue on the time-held practice of passing down wisdom from mother to daughter. To tangibly show her what it looks like to pursue your dreams and utilize your gifts, and to teach her that in all and through all, beauty will arise.

Out of my own experience, I understand that social media and the Internet can bring much noise into daily life, and can easily crowd the mind to where it’s hard to make any category of decision with intuition or confidence. There is a longing within us all to live with peace and integrity, and to mirror that into our families and relationships. Our hope is that by offering a tangible and curated source of content, it will inspire you to go forth with confidence and vigor. The choice to change your heart, and the heart of your home, begins with what you are allowing to reside within your mind.

The desire of our team is for this newspaper to be a reliable and grounding resource for community, beauty, deep thought, and general inspiration. It is out of the longings of our own hearts that we bring you Lottura.
